This remarkable project at an iconic property in City Beach, Western Australia, allowed us to contribute to a grand vision for a comprehensive outdoor renovation that complements the home’s stately Mediterranean architecture. The design embraced a transitional European style, seamlessly integrating with the property’s majestic character.
The front entrance serves as a gateway to a charming courtyard, shaded by olive trees, creating a journey that invites guests towards the home. The expansive lawn area, envisioned as both a children’s play area and a symbol of European grandeur, enhances the estate’s sense of scale and elegance.
A key addition to the property is the newly designed carport, which harmonizes with the home’s Mediterranean architecture, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic throughout the renovation.
In the backyard, an oversized concrete pool initially dominated the space, impeding functionality and flow. By reducing the pool’s size, we introduced an authentic European alfresco dining area. A terracotta tile pathway now leads to a brazier firepit area, offering a warm and inviting space that overlooks the newly renovated swimming pool.
The upper deck has been reimagined as the central hub for outdoor entertaining and cooking, while the ground floor now features a winter retreat with a built-in gas fireplace, adding comfort and versatility. The original external staircase has been repositioned and adorned with traditional Mediterranean-patterned tiles, enhancing both function and aesthetic appeal.
