The Offering

Denise is looking for an experienced, passionate landscape architect or designer with an expressive talent that will push creative boundaries. You will play a significant role within the business and contribute to her well-known standing within the landscaping industry and clientele throughout Australia and worldwide. As a key designer, you will effectively engage in the delivery of exciting new landscape design projects and be your own creative

THE EXPECTATION

Your role as the key landscape architect or designer will be dedicated to design, preparation of documentation to the companies’ current detailed standards and input into improvements that will benefit the growth of Outside In and their design delivery outcomes.

Communication both verbally and visually will be an integral part of your role, forming bonds with clients, suppliers, installers and most importantly with Denise who will support and encourage you throughout the design journey for each project. You will be eager and willing to learn drawing programs that you may not be familiar with, yet you have exceptional skills to adapt and intergrade your current knowledge.

This is a contract position where you will initially work with Denise at her home studio for an insight into her company operations, knowledge of workflow and creative input, over time you will be able to work remotely in your own home.

THE CRITERIA

This offering is a unique opportunity, and you will need to fulfil these essential requirements;

  • Qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the field of residential landscape design.
  • Ability to be your own boss, work with limited supervision and within given deadlines.
  • Practical construction knowledge of all built form landscape structures including complex retaining.
  • Problem solver to design solutions that push creative boundaries with the ability to construct in mind.
  • Competent at site analysis, checking site survey plans, taking measurements and basic survey levels.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local Residential Building Codes.
  • Communication marvel that knows how to express both visually and verbally.
  • Advanced drawing skills in programs such as Sketch-Up, Lumion, Enscape, Vectorworks and AutoCAD.
  • Garden prowess with strong plant knowledge, garden styles and themes.
  • Confident, proactive, and dedicated to residential architectural landscape design, documentation, delivery, and design outcomes.
  • Must reside in Perth, Western Australia with current ABN for contract position
